We're looking for a trading card expert who's ready to lead. As Shift Lead + Key Holder, you run the floor during your shift. You open and close the store, keep the team on track, and make sure every customer gets a fair, knowledgeable deal. When something needs a decision on shift, you make it.

  • Lead the team on shift: set priorities, delegate tasks and keep the floor running smoothly
  • Serve as key holder: open and close the store, including cash counts, register reconciliation and security procedures
  • Own the closing reset. Leave the store business-ready (floor faced, cases straight, shelves stocked) for the next opener
  • Buy, sell and trade cards with customers: evaluate collections, condition cards to TCGPlayer standards and price them from current market data
  • Be the go-to TCG expert on the floor for customers and teammates
  • Record buys, sales and trades accurately in Square so inventory stays correct
  • Keep shelves and cases stocked at all times, restocking from back stock first
  • Run in-store events, including game nights, tournaments and release events
  • Handle customer issues calmly and bring in management when needed
  • Help train newer team members on store procedures, pricing and card condition

Thursday through Monday each week, including evenings and weekends when events run.

Organized play is how Home Town fills its tables. As Organized Play Lead, you own the event calendar. You schedule and apply for events through every play network we work with, keep every listing accurate on our website and in each network's system, and make sure players always know what's on and when.

  • Keep up with scheduling and applying for events through all of our play networks (Play! Pokémon, Wizards EventLink, Bandai TCG+, Ravensburger Play Hub and more), hitting every network's deadlines
  • Ensure every event is maintained on the Home Town website and in each organized play system: dates, formats, entry fees and capacity
  • Build and maintain the organized play calendar, scheduled at least a month out
  • Track prerelease, release and championship-series windows so we never miss an application
  • Report results and attendance back to each network after events close
  • Help run in-store events, including tournaments, leagues, prereleases and learn-to-play nights
  • Keep organized play supplies stocked: sleeves, starter decks and prize support
