Home Town Cards started the way most good things in this hobby start — at a kitchen table, sorting cards, dreaming about building something real for the Austin collecting community. We weren't just fans of the hobby. We were the ones driving hours to find a decent show, setting up folding tables in parking lots, and wondering why nobody in Central Texas was running events that actually brought collectors together.
So we built it ourselves. Our first show was scrappy — a handful of vendors, a borrowed venue, and a lot of word-of-mouth. But the energy was undeniable. Collectors showed up. Deals got made. People stayed to talk shop and trade stories. It felt like the hobby was supposed to feel.
Today we run Austin's most consistent card show circuit, host game nights and tournaments every week, and are building out a permanent gaming hall where the community can gather year-round. We're not a faceless event company. We're the same collectors who were at that first show, and we remember every vendor who bet on us early.
